Show Notes

“Repetition is the mother of learning, the father of action, which makes it the architect of accomplishment.”

– Zig Ziglar

Backed by decades of experience producing exceptional clinical outcomes, Kintinu Telerehab connects recovery to everyday life. In this podcast, we explore hot topics in rehabilitation, the keys to personal growth and recovery, and how to apply it all to the real-world.

Learning or re-learning a skills involves many different components for success, but one of the more recognizable factors is practice, or repetition. The number of repetitions is important with new learning, but more important is the quality of those repetitions and the context in which they are being completed.

In this episode of Kintinu’d Conversations, Brad Dexter, Ana Hancock, and Tim Benak welcome Caleb Freeman and Pastor Jeremy Freeman. At the age of 16, Caleb sustained a traumatic brain injury after a car accident. His journey of recovery took him away from his home state of Oklahoma to different rehabilitation facilities, which included a stay at QLI. He and his family found motivation and hope through their faith and upon return home, Caleb developed new routines. With the support from his family and friends, Caleb was able to not only walk again, but run in his final cross country race of his senior year.

Listeners will learn about Caleb’s story of hope and resilience, his desire to inspire others, and how constant repetition and practice pushed him to his goals. His Dad, Pastor Jeremy, will also weigh in on how Caleb’s return home affected their family and the importance of maintaining hope through their faith throughout their journey. The Freeman’s story exemplifies many of the components of learning that include repetition, support for success, and finding that true motivation.
