Show Notes

“Brain injuries are like snowflakes and fingerprints. No two are the same.”

– Wendy Renzulla

Backed by decades of experience producing exceptional clinical outcomes, Kintinu Telerehab connects recovery to everyday life. In this podcast, we explore hot topics in rehabilitation, the keys to personal growth and recovery, and how to apply it all to the real-world.

In this episode of Kintinu’d Conversations, Brad Dexter, Claire Thelen, and Tim Benak welcome Dr. Jeff Snell and Kayla Frodsham to the podcast to discuss brain injuries. Dr. Snell is a neuropsychologist  who has been practicing at QLI in Omaha, Nebraska for 24 years. Kayla is finishing her doctoral studies to become a neuropsychologist under Dr. Snell. Acquired Brain Injury refers to any insult to the brain after the birthing process. Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) makes up a large portion of that, ranging from mild to severe. The vast majority of these are mild in nature (concussion). Individuals with moderate to severe injuries of typically go through a longer recovery process and may not return to their prior level of functioning. QLI is the nation’s premier provider of rehabilitation and residential services for younger adults with brain and spinal cord injury.
